Not yet from the source we can verify. The official game description says to rescue sea pets and clean dirty pets, while the event panel announces Mythical Pets. Neither publishes every pet name, its rarity, spawn area, rescue requirement or income. A numbered “best pets” ranking without comparable in-game values would mislead players.

Ruster Games leads its game description with “Rescue Sea Pets.” This establishes the collection loop, not the total number of pet species.

Best pets: how to make a useful choice now
If the game presents you with multiple pets, choose based on the goal shown in your current session. Need to unlock a collection entry? Prioritize the uncollected pet you can actually rescue. If a pet is blocked by a tool or island requirement, a reachable rescue is a better immediate target than an inaccessible “top tier” name.
