If you cannot dig a pet, compare shovel Strength. If sharks or travel slow you, train Speed before choosing a board or timed rental. If the tank is full, read Upgrade Tank. If washing is slow, inspect the hose offer. Spending in another branch may leave your current problem unchanged.

Shovel Strength and blocked rescues
A weak-shovel prompt points to the dig itself. The observed shop labels show Copper at Strength 2 and Iron at Strength 3; that does not tell us exactly which pet each tier can rescue. Read the pet's current prompt and the shop card together. A board or pool upgrade affects movement, not shovel Strength.
Pool, board or jet ski for speed?
The reported pool gain is a permanent stat increase per swim. The Octopus Board's 1.6x applies while riding. The jet ski's 2x lasts five minutes. These are different time horizons, so a straight “largest multiplier wins” ranking would be misleading. For repeated shark crossings, pool training can keep helping after a rental expires; for one long trip, read the current rental terms.
Tank and cleaning upgrades
The aquarium has separate Add to Tank, Edit Tank and Upgrade Tank controls in gameplay reporting. A full tank is the reason to inspect the next offer. One later run mentioned 50,000,000 cash for a next tank upgrade, but the level was not visible. It is a single late-game quote, not a first-upgrade price and not an island requirement.
Cleaning uses a Common Hose at the home station. “Upgrade Hose?” and Auto-Cleaner are separate offers. No reliable complete price or cleaning-speed table is available here; inspect the current panel if washing is your bottleneck.
Choose in this order
- Read the blocking message. Weak shovel, full tank, shark threat and missing gate stat imply different purchases.
- Read the exact offer. Keep cost, currency, effect and duration together.
- Compare with your goal. If the upgrade is funded by passive income, use the income planner with your own tank rate to estimate saving time.
- Verify the result. Check whether the gate, dig or tank state actually changed after the upgrade.
